Lyle W.

Lyle is the Course Director for the BA English and Creative Writing course. Lyle has a BA in English, and an MA in Creative Writing.  He is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Lyle is currently studying for a PhD in English and Languages at Coventry University.

Lyle teaches Creative Writing on the undergraduate and postgraduate Creative Writing courses. He specialises in performance poetry, article writing and music. With a background in performance poetry and music.

His interests lie in performance poetry, music, art, literature, traveling, film and graphic novels. Lyle’s main research interest is the psychological study of the creative process – this is the focus of his PhD. His other research interests are: Objectivism in literature, representations of free market economics in literature, social media and its impact on social interaction and social media and its impact on mental health. Lyle is also interested in the integration of social and digital media into creative writing pedagogy, and is a keen reader of economic and political literature.

Lyle has published articles on the video game industry, has been published in poetry anthologies/magazines and toured for three years as a musician.

As well as his current PhD research, Lyle is also working on several papers related to his research interests.
